Zojirushi Bread Machine

One of the work horses of the kitchen these days is a bread machine. It can be a real
time saver for any one who wants to bake fresh breads of any type, especially with a busy schedule! There are many
makes and models out on the market and they all do what they intended to do. I have had three different models, but
the one I have now and have had for the last eight years is a Zojirushi or Zo Bread machine.
The Zojirushi machine I own is the large capacity model that can bake up to a 2 pound loaf of
bread. They also make a smaller one called the Mini Zo. I will be reviewing that one soon and will let you know how
it compares to its bigger cousin.
The Zojirushi has nine settings, including cake, meat loaf, jam and three crust
choices. It is fully programmable and comes with a recipe for gluten free bread and how to program it for that
recipe. I have used that program for a lot of the loaves I have made and it does a good job.
I have also used the basic setting. It works very well for any pre-packaged bread mixes that
you can buy. You can also set it for time delay to have fresh bread ready for you when you get home!
It is a rather large machine and takes up a lot of counter space. I store mine in my pantry
when I'm not using it. If you are trying out a recipe for the first time, you need to keep an eye on the dough and
make sure all the ingredients are mixed in. Sometimes the corners need a little help. The bread pan itself cleans
up very easily. I usually hand wash it. I have not had to take it in for any repairs so far and I do a lot of
baking during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.
I would highly recommend the Zojirushi to any one who is looking to purchase a nice bread
machine.
