Cream Cheese Frosting

 

Use this cream cheese frosting to satisfy your sweet tooth with alot less calories. This frosting uses a new sweetener called agave which is extracted from the agave plant. It is twice as sweet as regular sugar with about the same calories allowing to use half as much and reducing the calorie content.

 

1/2 cup butter, room temperature
1/2 lb cream cheese, room temperature
1 Tb lemon juice
2/3 cup agave syrup

Cream the butter and cream cheese together with a hand held electric mixer. Add the lemon juice and agave syrup until blended and smooth.

Use to ice your favorite cake or cookies. This would be a good cake or cookie filling too.

Refrigerate any leftovers.
